"Computer Logic Design," a course led by Professor Parvaneh Ghaforyfard, is a cornerstone in the realm of digital computer organization. Embedded within the domain of embedded systems, this course delves deep into the intricate design of circuit components that harmoniously function to execute logical operations within digital computers. It plays a pivotal role in equipping students with the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary for this technological age. One of the standout aspects of this course is Professor Ghaforyfard's exemplary teaching style. She is not just a lecturer; she is an active facilitator of learning. Her dedication to ensuring that every student comprehends the material is palpable in each lecture. Her approachability and willingness to engage with students foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment. Professor Ghaforyfard goes above and beyond to make certain that no student is left behind, readily addressing questions and concerns during and after lectures. In the challenging realm of programming and assignments, Professor Ghaforyfard's support is a beacon of guidance. Her commitment to providing one-on-one assistance has been instrumental in my personal growth and understanding of the subject matter. With her guidance, I have been able to overcome hurdles efficiently, quickly catching up with the pace of the course. The balance struck in the course's difficulty level is commendable. Assignments are challenging enough to stimulate intellectual growth and push students to their limits, but not so overwhelming as to impede progress. This equilibrium allows for steady advancement through the curriculum, ensuring that students acquire a substantial depth of knowledge and practical skills. Additionally, the collaborative spirit of my classmates has been a valuable asset. The willingness of fellow students to work together, share insights, and troubleshoot problems collectively has created a supportive and motivating atmosphere that enhances the learning experience. In conclusion, enrolling in "Computer Logic Design" under the tutelage of Professor Parvaneh Ghaforyfard has been a rewarding journey. Her dedication, the optimal difficulty level of assignments, and the collaborative nature of both the professor and classmates have collectively shaped a positive and enriching educational experience. I am genuinely delighted to be part of this course, learning alongside such a friendly and supportive community, and I look forward to the continued growth and knowledge acquisition it promises to offer.(373字)

The school I attend is located in the picturesque state of California, just a stone's throw away from the bustling city of Los Angeles. I share a cozy house with fellow students, which conveniently sits approximately a 20-minute drive from the campus. Allow me to provide you with a more detailed introduction to this remarkable institution. This university boasts an expansive campus, with some sections featuring hilly terrain. Navigating the campus can, at times, feel like a workout in itself. The university prides itself on its top-notch facilities, catering to a diverse range of student interests. Among these amenities is a state-of-the-art sports center, offering a plethora of fitness options. For those seeking a more leisurely pastime, there are bowling alleys, billiards tables, and even opportunities for friendly matches of table tennis. One of the campus gems is a spacious student lounge, a haven for both focused study sessions and well-deserved breaks between classes. It provides a comfortable and conducive environment for academic pursuits and relaxation. Moreover, the university actively fosters a multicultural atmosphere by hosting a wide array of cultural events. These events enable students like me to immerse ourselves in different traditions, customs, and cuisines from around the world, broadening our horizons and enhancing our global perspective. Situated in the heart of Long Beach, the university enjoys a prime location near the seaside. A short, leisurely stroll of just a few minutes brings us to the captivating beachfront, a tranquil retreat from the rigors of academic life. Long Beach is a vibrant city that frequently hosts exciting events such as bustling markets, thrilling car races, and festive Christmas activities, adding a touch of excitement to our student experience. What's more, the proximity of our campus to downtown Los Angeles presents endless opportunities for exploration. The city's rich cultural landscape includes world-renowned museums, captivating art galleries, and the thrilling experience of attending MLB and NBA games. Personally, one of my favorite spots in the area is Venice Beach, a captivating coastline that offers a unique blend of sights and sounds. Here, you can encounter lively street vendors, mesmerizing street performers, and talented skateboarders as you take a leisurely stroll along the sun-kissed shore. Venice Beach serves as a perfect escape, providing a tranquil yet vibrant backdrop for relaxation and recreation. 1. When I first arrived in the United States, I found myself facing a multitude of challenges. My understanding of American culture and classroom dynamics was quite limited, and as a non-native English speaker, I often struggled to grasp the meaning of words and phrases in conversations with local students. However, as time went on, I gradually adapted to the pace at which they spoke, which allowed me to participate in conversations more fluently and confidently. It was a rewarding journey of language acquisition and cultural immersion. 2. Another significant adjustment I had to make was in my dietary habits. American cuisine, dominated by fast-food chains and Mexican flavors, was markedly different from the Chinese cuisine I was accustomed to back home. Consequently, I found myself taking on the role of a home chef, preparing Chinese dishes almost every evening during my stay in the United States. This culinary exploration not only satisfied my taste buds but also honed my cooking skills. It became a delightful part of my American experience, allowing me to share my culture through the universal language of food. 3. The transportation system in the United States posed yet another challenge. In contrast to the convenience of transportation in Taiwan, I often had to rely on buses, which came with long waiting times and extended travel durations. Even simple tasks, such as going to a nearby supermarket, required covering a considerable distance on foot, something I wasn't accustomed to. These adjustments to the transportation system pushed me out of my comfort zone, teaching me patience and resilience while navigating the daily logistics of life in a new country. In summary, my journey in the United States was marked by a series of adjustments and challenges, from language barriers to culinary exploration and adapting to different transportation norms. Each challenge, however, presented an opportunity for personal growth and cultural enrichment, making my time in the United States a truly transformative experience.(321字)
