During my study in the United States, my favorite course was economics, not only because it broadened my horizons and saw many advantages in American economic data, but also because it gave me a clearer understanding of the global economic operation. This course is taught by a professor with rich teaching experience. His class is not only challenging. In the classroom, he uses iclicker's teaching system to answer questions, so that everyone can absorb the course content into knowledge while listening to the lecture. It is also fascinating, which makes me both excited and rewarding in learning. The professor's teaching style is very different. He combines the theory of economics with practical problems in the real world. At the beginning of each class, the professor will guide us to think with current international events or local economic data in the United States. For example, he used the monetary policy of the United States to explain the economic cycle and the relationship between inflation and unemployment by analyzing different economic indicators. He often gives examples of how the government stimulates or slows down economic growth through interest rate regulation and fiscal policies, which makes me realize that economics is not an abstract discipline, but directly affects everyone's life. In addition, there are a lot of group discussions and case studies in the class, which is my favorite part. The professor encouraged us to cooperate in groups, discuss different economic issues, and put forward our own views. Such a discussion not only deepens my understanding of economic theory, but also improves my critical thinking and analytical ability. I remember once we discussed the impact of the minimum wage increase on the labor market. Each group put forward its own position and used data to support its own views. This kind of discussion gives me a deeper understanding of the impact of economic policy.(311字)

CSULB is a diversified university with students from all over the world, creating a rich atmosphere of cultural exchange. The school has a variety of student organizations, associations and activities, from academics, art to sports and other fields, so that students can participate in and develop their own interests. CSULB also offers a variety of on-campus accommodation options, including student dormitories and apartments. Most of the student dormitories are shared rooms for two or three people, with public bathrooms and kitchen areas, which are suitable for freshmen or students who do not want to rent outside the campus. What is more convenient is that the school cooperates with the school meal plan. Whether on or off campus, student ID cards can be used for school meals. The meal options are not only diversified but also take-out options. . The location of the school is very close to the city center, the airport or the beach. You can relax by the beach after class or on weekends and enjoy the sunshine and waves. The school provides on-campus bus service, which is convenient for students to travel to and from different campuses. Long Beach's public transportation system is also convenient, including buses and light rail. Students can also choose to ride bicycles, and the bicycle lanes around the campus are relatively complete. If you need to travel long distances, you can use Long Beach Airport, which is about a 20-minute drive from the school, and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is also within an hour's drive.(253字)

Students from different cultural backgrounds usually face different degrees of cultural shock. For me, one of the biggest shocks is that when I first arrived in the United States, I found that my lifestyle, communication and learning methods were very different from those of local students. For example, American students are very proactive in class and often express their opinions, and teachers also encourage students to put forward different opinions and questions. In contrast, in my country, students are more introverted and rarely take the initiative to speak in class, which makes me feel uncomfortable at first. In addition to cultural shocks, various challenges in life are also important problems I face. For example, living independently in a foreign country and dealing with daily affairs made me feel very unfamiliar and confused at first. I remember that I was not used to using supermarkets in the United States at first, especially when the price and unit of measurement were very different from the countries I was familiar with, which often confused me. In general, I did encounter many challenges in the process of studying in the United States, but these challenges eventually made me grow into a more independent and confident person. By taking the initiative to seek help, adjust my mentality, and learn to adapt to the new environment, I gradually overcame cultural shocks, life and academic difficulties. After every difficulty, I feel more mature and can enjoy the valuable experience brought by this study abroad experience. The rainfall in Long Beach is mainly concentrated in winter, especially between December and March. In summer, there is almost no rain and the climate is dry. Because it is located on the coast, it is occasionally affected by sea breezes, but the climate is generally very pleasant.(296字)

The preparation for studying abroad takes time and covers a wide range. Starting to prepare in advance will reduce your stress, learn about the school you are interested in, and choose a suitable major or course. Find out the application requirements, deadlines and whether there are those that suit your needs of each school. You should also plan the exam time in advance and make sure you are well prepared. Adapt to cross-culture and keep an open mind, because cultural shock is inevitable when studying in a strange country. There will be differences in language, food, social habits, etc. Maintain an open and inclusive mentality, gradually adapt to the new environment, learn about local culture and customs, and understand the culture, habits and basic etiquette of the target country. This not only helps to reduce cultural impact, but also helps you better integrate into local society in the classroom and daily life. In your spare time, you can also try to join school clubs or attend some parties or local celebrations, which is a good way to meet new people and expand your social circle. This can not only help you adapt to local life faster, but also deepen your understanding of different cultures. In addition to study, studying abroad is also an excellent opportunity to explore new countries and cultures. Making the most of your weekends and holidays to travel will not only relax, but also help you gain a deeper understanding of the local culture.(247字)

The learning system in the United States is different from that in China, especially in the United States, which focuses on classroom discussion and group cooperation. After I went abroad in my junior year, I faced a lot of academic challenges. At first, I felt a little uncomfortable with the open discussion model of American education, because our domestic education method emphasizes memory and test-based more. But as time went by, I began to get used to this teaching mode.(80字)
