I highly recommend Professor "Julie Bosc’s" courses because she not only possesses excellent teaching abilities but also has an extraordinary background. Professor Julie is a mixed-race individual with multi-national heritage, which has broadened her perspective and understanding. Having lived in different countries and experienced various cultures and educational systems, she is able to better understand cultural differences and incorporate them into her teaching. Her diverse background enables her to provide insights and experiences from different countries and cultures during her lectures, allowing students to not only learn academic knowledge but also understand how it applies across various cultural contexts. Professor Julie is fluent in several languages, and one of the most impressive aspects of her language skills is her proficiency in English. Although English may not be her first language, she delivers her lectures in English without any noticeable accent, and her speech is clear and fluent. This makes it easy for students to comprehend the knowledge she conveys. This is a significant advantage for me, as sometimes the course content may be abstract or challenging, but in her class, I am always able to quickly grasp the key points and clearly understand each concept. In addition, Professor Julie is a teacher who greatly values students' opinions. She does not force students to have the "correct" answer, as some traditional teachers might. On the contrary, she encourages students to express their own ideas and provides ample space for discussion. In her classroom, we are free to share our viewpoints and engage in discussions with our peers. This learning environment feels both relaxed and challenging because I not only learn knowledge but also develop the ability to engage in thought-provoking exchanges and listen to others' suggestions and perspectives. One of the most important aspects of Professor Julie’s teaching style is her patience. During each class, I can feel her genuine care and attentiveness toward her students. Whenever she notices a student struggling with a concept or displaying confusion, she immediately pauses to ask if we understand and patiently re-explains until every student is clear. This kind and patient approach to teaching makes me feel very comfortable and more willing to ask questions in class. Professor Julie’s expertise is also extensive, and she has a remarkable ability to present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. She does not only teach theoretical knowledge but also shares real-world case studies from the industry, allowing us to connect the theoretical concepts to actual situations and better understand how to apply these ideas in practice. Her classes are always interactive, with group discussions and case analyses that help us dive deeper into the course material. I really enjoy Professor Julie’s teaching style, which is why I decided to take her courses in both the fall and spring semesters. In the fall, I took the "International Marketing Course". With the rise of globalization, learning how to develop effective business strategies and identify target markets has become increasingly important. In this course, Professor Julie led us through an in-depth exploration of global market trends and taught us how to create marketing strategies tailored to the characteristics of different national markets. This was incredibly valuable to me because no matter which industry I enter in the future, I will likely face global business challenges, and this course provided me with a solid foundation for dealing with such situations. In the spring semester, I chose to take the "Organizational Behavior Course". In this course, Professor Julie explained and analyzed the behavior and dynamics within organizations from the perspectives of psychology, sociology, and anthropology. This gave me a deeper understanding of how organizations operate and how individuals behave within them. I learned how to analyze the dynamics of an organization and approach problems from multiple perspectives. This knowledge not only helps me understand how to collaborate effectively with colleagues and superiors, but also gives me a better understanding of people's motivations and behaviors within an organization. This will be immensely helpful for my future career. Overall, Professor Julie’s courses are not only academically enriching but also highly practical. I really enjoy her teaching methods, which is why I am recommending her courses. I believe that under her guidance, students will not only gain more professional knowledge but also develop better critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Firstly, Lyon III University’s campus is not very large, actually smaller than that of Tamkang University, and the campus is divided into two parts. Despite its smaller size, the architecture of the campus is quite unique, combining traditional European architectural styles with modern industrial elements. Particularly at night, the building's exterior walls are lit up with ever-changing, shimmering multicolored lights, which make the building stand out and become an iconic feature of the campus. However, don’t be deceived by its exterior – the classrooms inside are quite ordinary. Many professors mention that since it is a public university, the facilities are relatively old, but this doesn’t affect our learning. The university has two courtyards, and when the weather is nice, I often enjoy sunbathing and feeling the cool breeze with my friends, which is very relaxing. Most students also gather here to rest, so if you want to make new friends, this is an ideal place to sit and meet students from different countries. To be honest, the check-in process at the dormitory on my first day was a bit troublesome, mainly because the dormitory staff only spoke French, and my French wasn’t very good, so I had to rely on English or translations to sort things out. Fortunately, I had some classmates with me, so I didn’t feel too nervous, and the dormitory staff were very patient and helped us complete the check-in smoothly. I live in a “Studio” room, which is a single room with a private bathroom, while the kitchen is shared with other residents on the same floor. Since I don’t cook much and the communal kitchen is cleaned daily by a cleaning lady, this arrangement is acceptable for someone like me who is particular about cleanliness. Most French universities, unlike those in Taiwan, do not provide on-campus dormitories. Instead, students register for dormitories managed by the French government organization called “Crous.” Based on my experience, the various dormitory options in France are all very clean and comfortable, with individual rooms, which is perfect for someone like me who values personal space. The dormitory I chose is conveniently located, close to the university, supermarkets, metro and bus stations, sports fields, and B&Bs. The daily living convenience is excellent, and I am very satisfied with this. The surrounding environment is not only convenient but also very safe, making it a typical residential area where I feel both comfortable and secure. Lyon is located in the central-southern part of France, and its climate is very pleasant. In winter, there is an opportunity to see snowflakes, but the snow doesn’t accumulate to an unbearable extent. On the other hand, the high temperatures in summer can be somewhat challenging for me because France, unlike some other countries, doesn’t have widespread air conditioning. When temperatures approach 40°C, it can feel extremely hot. However, the climate here is relatively dry, so even though you sweat, your body doesn’t feel sticky, and there is not much body odor, which is a nice advantage. Additionally, France’s geographical location is very convenient. Whether you are traveling by plane, train, or bus, it’s easy to visit different European countries. The tickets are relatively cheap, and you can enjoy various geographical landscapes along the way. For someone like me who loves to travel, it’s a perfect place, offering endless opportunities for exploration. In summary, Lyon is a city that is not as crowded as Paris, nor as hot as the cities in the south of France. The climate and living environment here are very suitable for living. Moreover, France’s geographical location makes it convenient to visit other EU countries, which is a significant advantage for me. I’m truly glad to have the opportunity to live here as an exchange student. This experience has been very enriching and has deepened my love for both this city and the country. Before I went abroad for my studies, I considered myself to be not very independent because I was always used to relying on my family’s help and the companionship of friends. Although I did leave my comfort zone to study at a university in Tamsui, and I often traveled around and tried different foods, it was still quite different from truly living alone in a foreign country without family or friends nearby. Therefore, when I first prepared to embark on my study abroad journey, I felt anxious and nervous, but also excited and eager about the unknown adventure that awaited me outside my comfort zone. During the first few days, I did struggle to adjust. Especially when I felt lonely and helpless, I often found myself crying in my room while calling my family and closest friends, sharing my worries and homesickness. Every time, hearing their comforting words and encouragement made me feel less alone. However, over time, I gradually adapted to my new life. After about a week, I realized that I was becoming more independent, handling things like buying furniture and daily necessities, managing school-related tasks, and making new friends. These tasks, which seemed simple, were actually challenging for me at first. But as I overcame them one by one, I began to feel myself growing, realizing that I was now capable of surviving independently in a foreign country. Of course, life as an exchange student wasn’t entirely without its difficulties, especially at the beginning when I was faced with unfamiliar surroundings and uncertainties. There were many moments of frustration and sadness. But whenever these situations arose, I chose to share my struggles with my family or friends. They were always able to offer comfort, help me analyze the problems, and encourage me to approach challenges with a positive attitude. Moreover, I also made many friends from different countries abroad. They were all very kind and helpful, always ready to lend a hand in helping me adapt to my new life. Whenever I faced difficulties, I could always count on the support of these friends, which made me feel incredibly fortunate. Thanks to their support, my time abroad became more fulfilling, and I gained more confidence in myself. As for culture shock, I didn’t really experience much of it, probably because of my open-minded attitude. I was quite receptive to the European way of life and culture, and I also enjoyed the local food, although it did cause me to gain a bit of weight. However, if I had to mention one aspect of culture shock, it would be the teaching style of the professors at the university. The class schedules here are quite flexible, and professors often decide whether to end class early based on their mood or other factors. Each class also has a break in the middle, but the timing of these breaks is irregular, and sometimes, during a four-hour lecture, the length and timing of breaks can vary. Although this approach to teaching was a bit difficult to get used to, it also helped me learn to adjust my study rhythm and manage my time more effectively, making me more flexible in my approach to learning. In summary, the challenges I faced during my study abroad experience helped me grow in many ways. Whether it was managing my studies, adapting to a new culture, or handling personal emotions and relationships, I became more mature. This year’s experience not only taught me how to face difficulties, but it also gave me greater confidence for the future. Here are some helpful suggestions for those considering studying abroad as exchange students: Understand the Target School and Country: It’s essential to research your ideal school and the country it is located in. Look into the curriculum, academic culture, living conditions, and any specific academic requirements. This will help ensure that the school you choose aligns with your academic and personal interests, as well as your long-term career goals. Additionally, knowing the local living conditions, such as housing and transportation, can make your transition much smoother. Language Learning: If the destination country does not primarily speak English, it is highly recommended to study the basics of the local language before you arrive. Whether it’s learning simple phrases for day-to-day communication or more advanced vocabulary to help with academic discussions, language skills will greatly enhance your ability to interact with locals and fully immerse yourself in the experience. Confirm Course Selection: Choose courses that align with your major or academic track back home. This will ensure that the credits you earn abroad can be transferred and count toward your degree. It’s a good idea to consult with your home university’s international office to make sure the courses you plan to take abroad are approved for credit transfer. Cultural Adaptation: Before heading overseas, take time to learn about the local culture, customs, and social expectations. Being open to different ways of thinking and living is key to adapting to a new environment. A respectful attitude toward local traditions and values will not only enrich your experience but also help you integrate better into the community. Self-Management Skills: During your exchange, balancing academics, social life, and personal time will be crucial. It’s important to stay organized and manage your time effectively to avoid feeling overwhelmed. Learning how to balance all these aspects will contribute to both your academic success and your overall well-being, allowing you to fully enjoy the experience.(322字)

Reflecting on this unforgettable journey of studying abroad in France, my one-year exchange experience in Lyon has provided me with countless valuable insights and growth. It has allowed me to develop in terms of academics, life skills, and personally. When I first arrived in this unfamiliar country, I was full of questions and uncertainty, facing a brand-new environment, language, and culture. I was both excited and anxious. However, as time passed, I gradually found my place in this foreign land, discovered my motivation for learning, and figured out my direction in life. In the class, I took many courses related to my field of study, which not only enhanced my academic abilities but also broadened my horizons. Learning alongside students from around the world, engaging in discussions, was incredibly enriching. Through teamwork, I learned how to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds, manage interpersonal relationships, and build deep friendships while solving problems together. These experiences allowed me to gain not only knowledge but also a better understanding of how to adapt to and integrate into a multicultural environment. During my free time, I was fortunate to make friends from many different countries. We traveled together throughout France and visited several EU countries. These trips exposed me to various cultures, offered opportunities to appreciate diverse landscapes, and taught me how to independently plan itineraries, arrange transportation, select accommodations, and communicate with travel companions. These travel experiences not only enriched my life but also helped me develop greater independence and problem-solving skills. With each trip, from choosing destinations to handling the details, I was able to independently manage everything, which made me more mature and confident. Moreover, this year allowed me to dive deeper into French culture and lifestyle. I learned to respect different customs and values and embraced the new culture with an open mind. France's food, history, art, and warmth captivated me, and these cultural experiences not only expanded my global perspective but also enriched my inner world. I must especially thank my family for their unwavering support and encouragement. It is because of their trust and understanding that I had the courage to go abroad and begin this valuable journey. Whenever I faced challenges, I always felt their support and love behind me, which became my strongest pillar while living in a foreign country. Their encouragement pushed me to constantly break through my limits, persevere, and achieve one goal after another. Lastly, I am grateful to the Ministry of Education and my school for providing me with this rare opportunity to study abroad. This year has not only improved my professional knowledge but has also greatly enhanced my interpersonal, cultural understanding, and self-management skills. I will cherish this wonderful experience in France and continue to apply the knowledge and lessons learned in the future, making this journey a crucial milestone in my life. I believe these invaluable experiences will serve as a strong foundation in my future career and life path, helping me move forward with greater confidence toward the future I envision.
